Training Overview Description

The Alaska Disability and Aging Coalition will host the 6th Annual Disability and Aging Summit October 5-9, 2020. The summit will be held virtually and include presentations on Aging Well in Alaska.

Topics include: COVID-19: Aging Persons with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, Building Natural Supports, Aging in Place, and Changing Guardianship Statutes. There will also be an elder panel and a legislative and community panel addressing topics such as the impact of COVID-19 on the aging population, budget assurance and the future of the workforce for aging individuals with IDD.

The goal of the Aging and Disability Summit is to further discuss the national and state trends regarding the aging population to include individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and how it relates to Alaska.

Web-Conference / Zoom Information. This training will be delivered as a live, web-conference using Zoom. It is best to prepare for the web-conference prior to the event. Web-conference connection information is available in the CHD/AKTC e-Learning Portal after your registration is processed.

e-Learning Portal, Zoom Link and Accessible Versions of Agenda and Program. Additional information is available online, after competing your registration, through the CHD/AKTC e-Learning Portal. Please go to https://ttclms.remote-learner.net to access these materials and log in with the same username and password used when registering.
