Training Overview Description

This training will meet the Senior and Disability Services Home and Community Based waiver regulations for staff training on Assistance with Self Administration of Medication. It is in compliance with state regulation 7 AAC 130.227 and 7 AAC 125.090 (d)(3).

This training does NOT meet requirements for Medication Administration Training, which must be provided by a licensed professional (RN).

COST OF TRAINING. The fee for this training displays as FREE; however, each registrant or agency will be invoiced $20 for each completed training. This invoicing will happen once a month and allow agencies to pay for multiple trainees with one payment.

Event-specific Details

TARGET AUDIENCE. This training is for staff working in Alaskan NON-LICENSED facilities providing the following services: adult day, supported employment, hourly respite, daily respite done in the person’s home ONLY, Intensive Active Treatment (IAT) sessions, day habilitation, supported living (18+ in OWN HOME), and in-home supports (child in OWN HOME). Please refer to State of Alaska regulation 7 AAC 130.227 and/or 7 AAC 125.090 (d)(3) for additional information.

If you are interested in this training for your staff, utilize this LINK TO JOTFORM (jotform.com/93290792383971) to complete the AK Training Cooperative Assistance with Self Administration of Medication (ASAM) Web-Based Training Agreement. Once this agreement is received, instructions and the link to register for the training will be forwarded to the Agency Contact and Billing Contact listed in the Agreement. Agencies will be billed for any staff who register, access and/or complete this training.
