This will be the fifth year we have jointly hosted the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Institute (IECMHI) and the Child, Adolescent and Family Behavioral Health Conference (CAFBH).

The Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Institute is in its 14th year striving to enhance the knowledge and skills of those working with young children and families. The latest research, best practices, and developmentally appropriate interventions will be shared and discussed.

The Child, Adolescent and Family Behavioral Health Conference welcomes you to our fifth conference. This year’s focus is on the services covered under the Medicaid Section 1115 Demonstration Waiver. We have invited speakers who will present ideas and teach skills to work with children and youth, while involving the other systems that impact children.

Both conferences are offering presentations by national speakers, as well as drawing on the expertise of Alaskan professionals. These conferences offer a great opportunity to learn new information and skills, reflect on the work that you do, and network with peers who are equally concerned about the importance and promotion of behavioral health. Mental health clinicians, substance abuse counselors, early interventionists, university faculty, health practitioners, child protection and juvenile justice workers, court staff, family support workers, parent educators, foster parents, and early care and learning professionals will be attending and providing us an opportunity to expand our viewpoint and broaden our thinking about this field.

Registration is $100 for each conference (IECMHI: Monday-Wednesday or CAFBH: Wednesday-Friday) or $175 for the FULL WEEK.

We welcome you and hope that you will find this an exciting opportunity to learn, connect with partners and support Alaska’s children and youth!
