The purpose of Dementia Care Essentials is to enable the learners to identify strategies that can be implemented into their practice that will increase a sense of safety, security, comfort and quality of life for the person living with dementia. Participants will learn a variety of components of dementia care including communication and how to address behavioral challenges.
This class is co-sponsored by The Alaska Training Cooperative. Continuing Nursing Education: 10 contact hours. The cost for the contact hours is included in the registration fee. Alzheimer's Resource of Alaska is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Credentialing Center's Commission of Accreditation.
