Plans to Achieve Self Support (PASS) have been used by people with disabilities, parents, and organizational personnel for several years to provide services, equipment and training to employment seekers. Money for resources is supplied by having two SSA payment checks per month (SSDI and SSI), working and losing minimal amounts of money out of the SSI check, having more than $2,000 in resources (SSI/Medicaid), and receiving SSDI (and being able to qualify for SSI).
In this two hour session learn the basics of who can have a PASS, what the PASS may be used for, and how to write a PASS that can be authorized by SSA by using the plan form as an example. Learn basic PASS (Plan to Achieve Self Support) plan writing. Who is eligible? Where does the money come from? What can a PASS buy? Who can write PASSes? These questions and more will be answered in this basic two hour class.
