Training Overview Description

These trainings are now available as recordings only.

The Spring 2017 Leadership Learning Network Series is a group of three audio conferences pertaining to leadership and management skills in the workplace. Each one hour audio conference will include a presentation followed by discussion on how to utilize and apply the topic to your work environment. The three topics in the Spring 2017 Series will cover mindfulness in the workplace, beating burnout, and how great leaders can inspire action. Each participant will have access to articles or other preparatory materials meant to be reviewed prior to the audio conference to enhance the discussion and learning experience.

Ultimately, these three topic areas are designed to improve our ability to lead and help us all to be better managers!

HOW GREAT LEADERS INSPIRE ACTION (TED Talk)
• There are many ideas and theories about what makes a leader and a business successful; we will discuss one idea from Simon Sinek. Simon details his theory during a TED talk entitled How Great Leaders Inspire Action: people do not buy into what you believe but why you believe. We will dig into this idea and look at how this applies to our leadership roles and abilities here in Alaska.
