The Spring 2017 Learning Network Series is a group of three teleconferences pertaining to leadership and management skills in the workplace. Each one hour teleconference will include a presentation followed by discussion on how to utilize and apply the topic to your work environment.
BEATING BURNOUT (Harvard Business Review)
• All jobs come with stress/stressors but there are some that are unique to working in the caring/helping profession. When your work load and stress pushes you into a debilitating state we call burnout; it can become a serious problem. In this Learning Network we will look at some of the components that cause burnout and some strategies for recovery and prevention. We will also look at some tools to support you and your team in managing damaging stress, including the Professional Quality of Life Scale as a prevention strategy.
